Gta 5 , the latest edition in the grand theft auto series, came out in 2013. 37 million is a very big number by itself of course, but pace of sales slowed down very fast. Rdr2 storytelling both games employ a heavy dose of satire, but there's a definite difference when it comes to the tone.

Open world games used to look quaint but had the excuse of presenting large environments. Seems like sales of rdr2 is very frontloaded. Have to go with gta v but there's not much between them.
